Flight Case is an intercontinental trip for Master students, which consists of two parts:

  • A course in Q4 with Thursday evening lectures, workshops and research for the companies we will visit in Japan.

  • A 3.5 week trip to Japan in the first 3 weeks of summer holiday in which we will visit companies, work on cases and present our results to the companies.

(estimated from 11th July - 8th August, this is range of time that you should reserve for the trip. A specific time schedule will be confirmed later and will be communicated via email.)

When both are completed, you will receive 6 ECTS*.

*Requirement is that the student has 30 ECTS the moment we get on the plane.

All Master students (IPD/SPD/DFI) that are enrolled at IDE at least since September 2018 - and will not graduate before the trip - can apply. Students can apply by filling out an online form on the website and hand in a hardcopy of the motivation letter, cv and portfolio at Study association i.d (for more details see how to apply).

The Flight Case committee will make an anonymous selection based on the student's deliverables. We are looking for a good balance between male/female,  Dutch/international and IPD/SPD/DFI students.

Application deadline is FRIDAY 11 JANUARY 16:00. Selection results will be announces on 21 JANUARY at the latest.

The price to join this trip is 1250 euros and including transportation and accommodation (or more).

Application does not guarantee your participation in FlightCase. It is recommended to sign up for other electives in addition to FlightCase as a security measure.
